The people at Capcom have done it again with the latest edition to the Resident Evil Franchise.

The player navigates Chris Redfield or the series newest protagonist; Sheva Alomar through swamps, ancient Swahili villages, temples, caves, and high-tech research facilities; all filled with hordes of zombies and creatures you have only seen in nightmares. With the ultimate goal of rescuing Chris’ partner from the original Resident Evil; Jill Valentine, and a final match off with the series’ main antagonist; the machiavellian Albert Wesker, long-time fans will feel a satisfied sense of nostalgia while new players will be too busy having fun to be majorly concerned with the story elements. If anything I can see new players wanting to go buy the old titles even more after playing this gem.

The players are exact resemblance to the real thing, and the way they move has also improved dramatically. The player’s movements are now so nice and crisp. The crowds have also improved; I noticed it the moment the game started. A lot of my friends tell me that the crowd does not matter, but the better they look and the smarter the AI the more realistic the game feels. In 2K10 the crowd can set the mood of the game, for example if the home team is winning and they get a sick dunk or a three point shot, the crowd goes crazy, but if you are the visiting team and you are winning the crowd will be incredibly quiet.
