Moving forward in any direction is vital for the survival of any band. Weezer wisely realized this a long time ago. If they had continued to write songs in the same vein as ‘Buddy Holly’, ‘Island In The Sun’ or ‘Dope Nose’, they could have risked becoming stale or turning into a monotonous power chord band.

With Roots Above And Branches Below
The Devil Wears Prada have recently released their third studio album, titled With Roots Above and Branches Below, and let me tell you something my friends these guys mean some serious business.
The album begins with the song “Sassafras”, which was only the beginning of the oncoming audio based onslaught and hits you with sledgehammer force right out the gate. I can be somewhat impatient from time to time when listening to music, and so I like it when a song has the ability to draw me in right off the bat, and the moment track two started I was hit with a surprisingly intense wave of music that just pulled me in and wouldn’t let go. I had one of those moments where you don’t even realize how hard you’re playing the air guitar until you accidentally hit something and hurt yourself.
